Everybody knows Coffee-to-Go and everybody remembers using cheat sheets in school tests. The well-known language publishers PONS combined these two phenomena to produce a product idea. A weather-resistant “mini textbook” solution for language students entitled e.g. “Spanish to Go” was required that wouldn’t bend when carried around in a pants pocket.

We designed and produced a mini textbook for PONS and Ernst Klett Publishers comprising a front and back cover made of “weather-resistant, water-resistant and wipable” Priplak plastic. The first page of the contents – the cover page printed with the PONS corporate design and the product title, e.g. Spanish to Go – is easily visible through the translucent Priplak material.

We printed the content pages (vocabulary lists, grammar rules etc.) and covered them with matt film to protect them against the elements.

A spiral wire spine holds everything together perfectly and allows the pages to be opened out a full 360 degrees.

With Achilles, PONS received everything from one source including full assembly and insertion of the contents onto the spiral wire spine.
