| Riegler is best known as a manufacturer of compressed air pipe fittings. The wide product range is displayed in a bound catalogue but technical information often has to be updated or supplemented, necessitating an additional “flexible product” e.g. ring binder. The bound catalogue and ring binder would be in different formats, but Riegler customers i.e. architects, pneumatics or air-conditioning technicians needed to have both together as a complete package. |
| Solution |
| We designed a solution in our sample studio that satisfied the requirement of a complete package comprising a ring binder and bound catalogue. The concept was a slipcase containing a vertical partition and another feature (the space-filler) to overcome the problem of different formats (width/depth also varied) yet have both components flush at the front. Now with everything bound, structured and ready to hand, the company’s sales & marketing people and customers alike are greeting the product with enthusiasm. And it’s attractive – printed in the corporate design and laminated with gloss film. The slipcase’s conically bevelled convergent front edge is practical because this special shape (instead of thumb cuts) ensures optimum access and manageability. Not only did we take care of the complete design, production and assembly for Riegler, out designer also drafted the print layout of the ring binder and slipcase using existing data. |
